Building stronger communities together
Our Kiwanis organization strengthens the community through Service Leadership Programs (SLPs) that empower individuals to develop leadership skills while making a positive impact through service. In addition to supporting these programs, our members actively volunteer their time on community service projects and initiatives. We also organize fundraising events that help support local needs and charitable causes. Through volunteer service, fundraising efforts, and donations, we are committed to improving the lives of those in our community.
Johnston and Urbandale Key Clubs
Key Club is a high school student-led organization that encourages leadership development through service to others. Students build confidence and character. The purpose is to teach students to be leaders within their community, learn to be effective, strive for academic achievement, create more inclusive environments in their schools and develop empathy for those less fortunate.
Aktion Club
A service club for adults with disabilities. Participants develop confidence and character as they take on leadership roles in their club and service projects. Members gain a sense of purpose and personal satisfaction as they serve their communities, help others and discover their talents.

Circle K Club at Drake University
Circle K focuses on the next generation of community leaders. Members learn how to improve the world through service, decision-making, problem-solving, and team building. Learning skills that are transferable to their careers after they graduate.
