Kiwanis International
Kiwanis is an International Organization dedicated to improving our communities one child at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Johnston is one of the thousands of chapters across the world.
Founded in 1915, Kiwanis International consists of 8,000 clubs (5,000 clubs in America). There are 150,000 members worldwide and 550,000 members in the Kiwanis family. Members organize approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly $100 million dollars every year for children, families and their communities. Kiwanis provides 19 million hours of service to the community each year. Service is the heart of every Kiwanis Club, no matter where in the world it is located. Kiwanis will be a positive influence in communities worldwide so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive.

Nebraksa-Iowa Kiwanis District and Foundation
The Kiwanis organization is divided into districts and divisions. The Kiwanis Club of Johnston is located in the Nebraska - Iowa District (District 5).
Kiwanians in Nebraska and Iowa impact the lives of 1,000,000 citizens each year. Growing membership is critical to our ability to serve our communities. Each Kiwanis member impacts the lives of 206 children. Growing membership by 500 new members will have an impact on more than 100,000 additional children.
