The Johnston Kiwanis Club provides hands-on opportunities to serve children and families in our community. Whether supporting local nonprofits, mentoring youth, or helping at events, our members make a meaningful difference year-round.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone with a heart for service is welcome. Kiwanis is open to adults and students of all backgrounds who want to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families in our community.
Volunteer opportunities
Community service
Johnston Partnership: Assist families at the food pantry and clothing closet, and support other community service projects throughout the year.
Kiwanis Miracle League: Volunteer at the concession stand during spring and fall seasons, helping create an inclusive experience for young athletes and families.
Youth & Mentorship
Mentor Iowa Christmas Party Provide and serve a meal at the annual Christmas party for at-risk children and their mentors.
Service Leadership Programs: Support Key Clubs, Circle K, and Aktion Club by mentoring and guiding youth leaders in your community.
Event Support
Fundraising Events: Help plan and work at fundraising events that support community programs and youth initiatives.
